Parent Guide

You can download a copy of the Parents' Guide here. The guide was designed to cover all the aspects of life at Boat Daycare and we hope that you find it useful.

Gradual Entry 

Children are integrated gradually into the program and routine at the daycare. The first time a child comes to Boat, he/she may stay an hour or two with his parent(s) present. The next day, the parent(s) may leave for an hour or two. The following days, the child may stay alone until lunchtime, nap time, etc., until he/she is ready to stay for the whole day. This process is very flexible - the parent and staff can determine when the child to take each progressive step into full-time attendance.

Daycare Supplies 

When your child starts at Boat, we require that you supply:

- Fitted Sheet(crib size)
- Blanket (small)
- Toothbrush
- Nylon rain pants (muddy buddies)
- Change of clothing (labelled)
- Slippers or slip-on shoes
- Rubber boots
- Sleep friend (optional)

*Please note: All your child's clothing should be labelled.

Lunch and Snacks 

Two nutritious snacks are prepared daily - your child needs to bring a lunch. Fruit and vegetables are delivered to the daycare, and special diets can be accommodated.

Please note that Boat Daycare is not a nut or sesame free daycare.
